Easter butterfly

I love the Funstamps 'swirling wings' butterfly stamp I've used on this card, simply inking with memento rich cocoa, stamped directly on to the background paper. The sentiment stamp is by Papermania and the brown spacers used as flowers are prima.

Sunflowers to brighten up a dull spring

I don't know what it's like where you are, but it's not very spring-like here - still very cold, which is why I'm staying in today!

I distressed the fancy edges of the card blank with mustard seen distress ink. The background paper and that used for the inside of the card are K & Co.

The sunflower 3D stickers are from stash.

Tutti frutti Happy Easter

Another card using the front of a shaped card on to a plain card blank with the addition of nestie cut labels using Craftwork Cards tutti frutti card and paper, stamping the Easter sentiment directly on to the tutti frutti paper, which meant I had to emboss it because it was staying wet and I was too impatient to wait for it to dry! Flowers are Craftime.

Simply Happy Easter

I'm showing a lot of Easter cards that I made and sold for charity recently that I hadn't got round to blogging. So, here is another one, using the front of a ready patterned shaped card blank stuck on to a plain card blank. Three nestie label shapes using Craftwork Cards tutti frutti card and paper, stamped in the middle with the Docrafts Happy Easter.

This is for:

Embossed Easter

For this card I used an embossing folder with my eBosser - the beauty of this is that I could open out the card blank and emboss on the front without any danger of getting lines I didn't want - so good to have an A4 area to work with. The sentiment grosgrain ribbon was from Hobby Craft and the eggs from Poundland a couple of years ago.

This is for:

Another Easter card using some 3D daffodil stickers that look so life-like. Unfortunately, because they were mounted on to a gold mirror card die cut shape, it's impossible to get a photo without showing what's in the 'mirror'!

More lily of the valley for Easter

Another card using some of those lovely Martha Stewart lily of the valley. The backing is a piece of card rescued from a pack of prima flowers (too good to waste). The background paper is My Mind's Eye. Just the addition of a peel off silver cross, some stitched ribbon and the Easter sentiment and the card was done.

This is for:

Birthday wishes

A CAS card using the front of a ready scalloped card blank (I'm a thrifty crafter so I quite often split a card like this so that I can get two cards out of the one card blank). The flowers are a mixture of some from Create and Craft and some Prima and the sentiment is an old one from stash.

This is for:

Less is more lucky dip: use scallops
Lexi 86: special female birthday
Charisma cardz 12: happy birthday

Candlelight carol

This is my second card for my CHNC challenge 118, which is to base your Christmas card on a carol or song. Once again, I've used paper from the Authentique 'peaceful' collection, stamping directly on to it and colouring with Spectrum Noir. The stamp is one that was kindly supplied by Flonz craft, one of the sponsors of CHNC challenge 118. I also printed the carol - another one that I guess isn't well known - directly on to the paper, with the addition of some glittered green ribbon and some My Mind's Eye 'all is bright' buttons.

This is the carol:
How do you capture the wind on the water?
How do you count all the stars in the sky?

How can you measure the love of a mother,
Or how can you write down a baby's first cry?

Candlelight, angel light, firelight and starglow
Shine on his cradle till breaking of dawn.
Gloria, Gloria in excelsis deo!
Angels are singing the Christ Child is born.

Have a holly, jolly Christmas

Yes, I know it's Easter, not Christmas, so first of all I wish everyone a HAPPY EASTER.

This is my first card for my CHNC challenge 118 that starts today - I'm asking for cards based on a Christmas carol or song.

I wanted to use the 'Christmas holly' that was kindly supplied by Cedar Chest Designs, on of the sponsors of CHNC challenge 118 - I thought of some popular carols and then found this old carol that is probably not well known. It's quite hard to see on the picture, so I think it's worth showing it here:

Have a holly, jolly Christmas,
It's the best time of the year.
I don't know if there'll be snow,
But have a cup of cheer.
Have a holly, jolly Christmas
And when you walk down the street
Say hello to friends you know
And everyone your meet.

I printed the image directly on to a piece of Authentique paper from the 'peaceful collection' and coloured with Spectrum noir (I haven't deserted my copics and promarkers, but have added the SNs to my collection), also printing the carol direct to paper. The piece of sparkly ribbon has been in my Christmas box for some time and needed using (another piece used on my next card) and the gems are My Mind's Eye 'all is bright', part of a package that I won recently.
