For a special couple

Because the family were meeting up today to celebrate mum's 90th birthday (which was on Tuesday) we all took the opportunity to exchange Christmas cards/presents and also a lot of birthday cards had to be given as well.

So yesterday I needed to make some cards and this was one of them for one of my nieces and her husband.

The background paper is from Cosy Christmas collection given recently with Quick Cards. The image and sentiments were part of a kit from QVC a year or two ago and the piece across the middle is a snippet left over from some English Paper Company paper.

This is for:

CHNC challenge 49: mainly monochromatic

It's time for challenge 49 on my CHNC blog - now that December is already here, we're heading more and more quickly towards the Big Day! I don't know about you, but I've still got loads of Christmas cards to make ... and I've been making them all year! It's the penalty for selling so many for charity ... I now need to make lots more for us to send!

For my card for CHNC challenge 49, which is to make a monochromatic or tone-on-tone card, with a limited use of other colours if you wish as long as there is one prominent colour.

I've used 3 stockings digital image, which was kindly supplied by StretchNBubbles who are sponsoring the challenge - the randomly chosen winner will be able to choose 5 digital images - and there are plenty of lovely ones to choose from. I've used the sketch for Passion for promarkers 128 using poppy promarker to colour:

The striped and snowflakes papers are from the Cosy Christmast collection given recently with Quick Cards and the polka dot paper is Wild rose studio traditional Christmas.

I'm also linking this for the following challenges:
